Cyber Quiz is a free security-awareness service by Cyber Army™. Our mission is to educate everyone about cyber attacks. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Quiz activity - your answers, score, quiz topic and difficulty, and how long the quiz took. Collected for every completed quiz.
- Optional profile- a first name and a role (student, employee, IT & security professional, other), only if you choose to provide them before a quiz.
- Approximate location - your country, derived from your network connection by our hosting provider. We do not store your IP address.
- Email address - entered when you start a quiz. We use it to send your detailed results PDF and to notify you when new quizzes are published.
- Custom quiz topics - topics you type into the AI quiz builder are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate the quiz.
How we use it
- To deliver your results and the PDF report you request.
- To understand which security concepts people find hardest, so we can build better free educational content. Research findings are only ever used in aggregate - never tied to an individual.
- To protect the service from abuse (rate limiting, bot protection).
What we don't do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not show third-party advertising networks.
- We do not store your IP address with your quiz results.
Services we rely on
Hosting by Vercel, database on AWS, quiz generation by Anthropic (Claude), bot protection by Cloudflare Turnstile, and email delivery via our mail provider. Each processes only what is needed for its function.
Your choices
- The name and role fields are optional - skip them and the quiz works the same.
- To have your email and associated data deleted, or for any privacy question, contact us.
